Web Work

Here is some of the web work I have been doing lately:

Three banners featured on my company's mainpage.

The longterm project I have just recently completed for the Virginia Project Foundation.

More Work

Some more samples of work I have done:

2009 Holiday Cards for Peak 10 Data Center Solutions

Wedding Invitations for my brother. Their wedding colors are any natural shade of green. I wanted to feature this light mossy colored green.

Brochure for the Herbert Hotel. A resort hotel close to several ski resorts. They are an old building featuring dark wood and that "feel right at home" environment.

Two loyalty cards for the video game store "Play N Trade." They wanted the look of a card that would be found in someone's pocket in a post apocalyptic world. The first card resembles that of one cut out of rusty metal. After purchasing 10 games, you would get a free game. The punch holes are in the shape of screws, so that when they are punched out they would resemble a missing screw. The back of the card features the backside of a nut and screw. The bottom card looks like a cracked plastic. The front of the card has a large space empty for the store to put their barcode sticker on. The back of the card resembles that of a swipe card.

Sampling of Work

Here are a few samples of work I have been doing:

Brochure for a Military Base Spa. The majority of the customers are male, so the design had to be masculine while still remaining serene.

Menu for a BBQ restaurant.

Brochure for a startup gourmet apple company. They wanted the design to be playful, while still being elegant and sophisticated. They liked simple designs and light colors.

Menu for a Seafood restaurant

Menu for a BBQ restaurant.

Richmond Arbor Day 2010

What with a full time job and freelance on the side, I've been super busy lately. I just completed a poster for the Richmond Tree Stewards again for their annual Arbor Day event. This year the theme was "Stay CO2OL with Trees." Unlike last year's poster, this year I chose to go with a photo illustration, but still staying with the same neutral color palette.

New and Improved Site

This is the project that I've been working on in all my spare time for the past few months. It is accompanying a brand new promotional campaign I have now too. It has a lot more info on the projects than before, with better quality images and coding. Please let me know any comments, criticisms, or problems you have. Thanks.

The portfolio pages feature print design, web design, and illustration pages. The arrows slide to show more pieces. When you click each thumbnail, a larger screen pops up with more info on the project.

The popup screen gives more information on the project such as descriptions , a larger image, and my role in the project.

The web popup screen features a link to the live site (if possible).

The about page has testimonials, a portrait, and information about myself and my clients.

The journal page features my current art blog.

On my contact page you can find my email and telephone as well as links to my pages on sites like linkedin, blogger, twitter, facebook, etc.

Holiday Cheer Tee

Hey!

I submitted a tee shirt design called Holiday Cheer to Threadless.com to be voted on and hopefully printed.

If I get enough high scores the shirt will be printed and sold from the site and I will win some prizes. Take a look at it and if you like it, sign up and give it a score.

URL: http://www.werd.threadless.com/submission/184832/Holiday_Cheer

Thanks!

P.S. I'm sure Threadless would be happy if you bought a tee too!

Ledyard High School Reunion Nametags

Nametags for the Ledyard High School 40th Reunion. The school colors are blue and gold and the mascot is the "colonel" that can be seen on the blue tag. The top gold design is for the alumni whose maiden name is listed with the current last name underneath, while the reversed blue design with the mascot is for the spouse of the alumni.

man alive

this is something i've been working on for the past few days. local band called "man alive". mostly ambient electronic music. The instructions I was given was that the band liked: organic, mechanical, "roots", space, trees, and simple design. I ended up with the idea of the deep ocean and jellyfish. I'm currently still working on the pamphlet.
