2009 Holiday Cards for Peak 10 Data Center Solutions

Wedding Invitations for my brother. Their wedding colors are any natural shade of green. I wanted to feature this light mossy colored green.

Brochure for the Herbert Hotel. A resort hotel close to several ski resorts. They are an old building featuring dark wood and that "feel right at home" environment.

Two loyalty cards for the video game store "Play N Trade." They wanted the look of a card that would be found in someone's pocket in a post apocalyptic world. The first card resembles that of one cut out of rusty metal. After purchasing 10 games, you would get a free game. The punch holes are in the shape of screws, so that when they are punched out they would resemble a missing screw. The back of the card features the backside of a nut and screw. The bottom card looks like a cracked plastic. The front of the card has a large space empty for the store to put their barcode sticker on. The back of the card resembles that of a swipe card.

Sampling of Work

Here are a few samples of work I have been doing:

Brochure for a Military Base Spa. The majority of the customers are male, so the design had to be masculine while still remaining serene.

Menu for a BBQ restaurant.

Brochure for a startup gourmet apple company. They wanted the design to be playful, while still being elegant and sophisticated. They liked simple designs and light colors.

Richmond Arbor Day 2010

What with a full time job and freelance on the side, I've been super busy lately. I just completed a poster for the Richmond Tree Stewards again for their annual Arbor Day event. This year the theme was "Stay CO2OL with Trees." Unlike last year's poster, this year I chose to go with a photo illustration, but still staying with the same neutral color palette.

Portfolio Book

I've been working on a new portfolio book lately. This is as far as I've gotten. The wood is birch. The pages of the book are going to be attached in between the hinges by binding screws (also known as screwposts or post screws.) As of right now I still need to attach the hinges and finish sealing the wood. I also need to print out the pages. I'd love to have something on the front of the book, but at the same time I love the simple piece of wood look. Comments and criticism please.(sorry for the quality of the photos).
